We’re talking live digital drawing, a cosplay competition, and artist’salley and the official launch of four brand spanking new titles from Wild North Comics creators!

Come and be the first to see the latest publications from Wild North Comics before we travel to Supanova Sydney! New titles launched at the Comic Con will be Zero-Point: Origins #2 by Jonathon Saunders, Future Tales Volume #1 by Philip Tarl Denson, Chronos: The Spacetime Machine by Timothy Parish and Heavengrad by Levin Diatschenko! Come and meet the incredible artists behind these other Wild North Comics.
Our “Artists Alley” will feature a market of local artists and illustrators including award-winning animator and creator of ‘Space Robots of the Forgotten Future’ Dan Hartney, tattooist and illustrator Mat “Blue” Selwyn, and youtube creator Dani Heilbronn aka Lord Bung and many more. Experience live drawing, zines makers and digital art demonstrations where you can maybe even score some cool swag and gaming collectibles or explore the secondhand comic archives of Stone Monkey.
And let’s not forget about the WILD COSPLAY COMPETITION! Show off your creativity and compete against other cosplayers to win some awesome prizes including $300 in prizes.
For anyone who wants to get their artwork seen, the Wild North Art Prize includes $300 in prize money and the chance to get published in Wild North Comics #6!
Wild North Comic Con ’23 also marks the official launch of Stone Monkey (formerly Comics NT) in their new expanded Coconut Grove location! To celebrate the local and Australian comics scene, Stone Monkey will be launching a new Wizards of Oz Comics display featuring some of the best Australian-made comics never before available in Darwin including titles from Gestalt Comics (WA), Reverie Comics (Vic), The Deep (which inspired by the popular Netflix series), Cleverman, (inspired by the ABC TV series), Luminous Ages (SA), Greener Pastures (NSW) and the breakout hit series Dark Heart by Scott Wilson which has launched Australia’s own INDIGIVERSE inspired by Australia’s incredible Indigenous culture and mythology! And many more!
Wild North Comic Con 2023 will be taking place from Midday until 6 pm at STONE MONKEY and will include food and drinks from Darwin’s pop culture legends MAD SNAKE CAFE.
So grab your friends, put on your favorite cosplay, and get ready for a day full of fun, excitement, and plenty of comics!
