Afro Creole features the sound of a unique vibration emerging in the Darwin scene with live band Zilwa fusing infectious Mauritian Sega music with Reggae rhythms.
Featuring the talents of Mauritians; Jean-Eddy Moutou on drums, and the sweet soulful tones of Jordan Petit on vocals, they are joined by Darwin’s own troubadour Ward Hancock on bass and vocals, and local guitar wiz Christian Carbajosa. Imagine an organic tropical island dance soundtrack and you’re getting close to the irresistible groove of Zilwa. Sure fire dancefloor vibes alongside the tongue twisting rhymes of the dynamic Mista Monk on the mic is a recipe for a cooking Afro-Creole-Reggae party!
Keeping the party moving between sets is renowned local DJ RaggaRae who seamlessly blends Reggae, Dancehall, and Afro genres, creating irresistible and energetic sets.
